Top 3 reasons why we don't exercise

Excuse #1
"I don't have enough time."

This is the absolute worst excuse of them all.  Why?  Because you have to make time.  If you don't prioritize exercise, you will never have enough time for it.  Once you get use to making time, you'll realize that you'll always have enough time  each day to somehow fit in a workout.  Whether it be taking a brisk walk at lunch, taking the stairs, scheduling "you time" in your calendar and developing a daily routine you can stick to is vital.   Your time is yours, so use it wisely.

Excuse #2
"I don't have enough energy.  I'm too tired."

This excuse can create a vicious cycle because the more sedentary you are then the more tired you become.  Of course, the more tired you are then the less appealing exercise sounds.  Regular physical activity increases your energy level.  In addition, exercisers tend to sleep better which allows you to truly feel rested throughout the day.

Excuse #3
"I'm injured/disabled"

In the vast majority of cases of injured people, exercise is not the thing to avoid, but the cure.  It may require some specific instruction, but you won't improve by sitting on the couch and feeling sorry for yourself.  If you don't conquer your injuries, you allow them to conquer you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you find yourself making an excuse not to exercise, remind yourself of all the many benefits working out provides:

lower body fat, decrease risk of many diseases including cardiovascular disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, reduce instances of depression, manages stress levels,  improves bone density, reduce risk of injuries and many more.
